The Southern Santa Barbara Coastal Streams field tour stopped at several streams where efforts from agencies and non-profit organizations have improved habitat for the Southern steelhead trout. Highlighted project examples included modified debris basins, low water crossing removal/bridge installation and modified concrete trapezoidal channels. The field tour provided participants with an opportunity to learn about the difficulties in implementing projects on private agricultural and public lands.
