Final Call for 2023 SRF Conference Abstracts
Presenter Abstracts Due November 8, 2022
The 40th Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference will be held in Fortuna, California from April 25-28, 2023. Please visit our website to see the Final Call for Presentation Abstracts.
Please note that the agenda evolves and the Final Call for Abstracts includes additional concurrent sessions and the proposed field tours. Workshop, tour, and session descriptions are online. Early abstract submission helps SRF determine which sessions and workshops will be in the final agenda.
SRF’s Call for Abstracts is highly competitive and not all abstracts can be accepted. Presentations that have not been given before at our conference will have priority.
To submit an abstract, please review our submission guidelines. Please fill out this form, then email your abstract to abstracts@calsalmon.org. Receipt of your submission will be acknowledged by email and forwarded to the correct session chair.
2023 SRF Conference - Poster Session Open

Featured Tour- Humboldt Bay Estuary

The tour will include discussion of the project planning process, construction challenges, and results from post-implementation physical and biological monitoring for both newly constructed projects and those implemented several years prior. Learn more here.
Featured Workshop- Healthy Fire, Healthy Fish
The West suffers simultaneously from too much fire and not enough. The effects of fire on fish are equally complex. This workshop will explore the many dimensions of fire and fish, including fire ecology for fisheries, impacts of fire on fish, opportunities for joint projects and policy, and a shared vision and strategy for healthier fire and healthier fish. Learn more here.
Klamath Fish Passage Summit Plenary Online
SRF in conjunction with the California Fish Passage Forum and NOAA Restoration Center coordinated a Klamath Fish Passage Summit that focused on Reconnecting the Klamath — Honoring Communities and Culture. This historic event highlighted Klamath dam removal science, planning, and post-dam removal restoration activities and was intended for tribal leaders and restorationists engaged in the technical aspects of dam removal. Special thanks to the PSMFC, the Karuk tribe, Cal Trout, RES, and Catena Foundation for making this special event possible and for all the restoration partners that coordinated outstanding field tours.
Here are the powerpoint presentations and the Plenary session video.
