First Call for 2025 SRF Presentation Abstracts
Presenter Abstracts Due November 18

 
The 42nd Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference will be held in Santa Cruz, California from April 29-May 2, 2025. Please visit our website to see the First Call for Presentation Abstracts.
Please note that the agenda evolves and the Second Call for Abstracts may include additional concurrent sessions. Session and workshop descriptions are posted and the field tour descriptions will be online shortly. Early abstract submission helps SRF determine which sessions and workshops will be in the final agenda.
SRF’s Call for Abstracts is highly competitive and not all abstracts can be accepted. Presentations that have not been given before at our conference will have priority.
To submit an abstract, please review our submission guidelines. Please fill out this form, Then email your abstract to abstracts@calsalmon.org. Receipt of your submission will be acknowledged by email and forwarded to the correct session chair.

42nd Annual SRF Conference Hotel Group Blocks, FAQs, and more
 
SRF will be hosting the conference workshops at the Hotel Paradox and the Courtyard by Marriott is within walking distance to the conference venue in Santa Cruz and we have set up hotel blocks. Hotel rooms will sell out before the conference registration does so please make your hotel reservations early if you plan on registering for the conference. More hotel blocks will be available soon. Conference registration will probably not open until early December but you can reserve your hotel rooms now. 26th Annual Coho Confab

SRF, with the support of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, will host the 26th Annual Coho Confab on September 13 - 15 at the beautiful Rock Creek Ranch on the South Fork of the Smith River. The pristine Smith River is the largest undammed river in California and is located in the northwest corner of the state in the Siskiyou Mountains. Field tours will include exciting projects in Mill Creek, Prairie Creek State Park, Lower Klamath, tributaries to the Smith, and underwater fish ID. The agenda is posted.

These awards support environmental enhancement projects located within or immediately adjacent to waters of the state. An enhancement project is a project that acquires habitat for preservation or improves habitat quality and ecosystem function above baseline conditions. Learn more here.

NOAA Fisheries Community Science Funding

NOAA Fisheries is seeking proposals to support citizen science projects that can improve federal fishery stock assessments and climate-ready fisheries management. Funding will prioritize projects that provide information for use in stock assessments and increase understanding of current and/or future impacts of climate change on fish stocks and/or fishing communities. Cal Poly Margie Caisley Conservation Engineering Award

This fund established an annual award for students with undergraduate experience in Engineering or the sciences of Fisheries, Geology, Hydrology, or Watershed and Wildland Sciences interested in pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental Systems in the focus area of Environmental Resource Engineering at Cal Poly Humboldt.
