North Coast Water Rights Workshop
August 11 in Willits, CA, 6-8:30pm
Salmonid Restoration Federation, Trout Unlimited, and the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District will be hosting a water rights workshop for rural residential landowners at the Willits Community Center on Tuesday, August 11 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
The workshop will highlight California water law, including riparian and appropriative rights and related water laws. The workshop is designed for landowners, realtors, planners, and North Coast residents who want to learn about water rights and options for improving water security. It will include an optional clinic component to help landowners fill out Small Domestic Use or other permitting paperwork.

Sediment and Erosion Control Best Management Practices (BMP) Workshop
September 16 in Piercy, CA, 9am to 5pm
Salmonid Restoration Federation and Pacific Watershed Associates are offering a BMP workshop and field tour of erosion control sites in Mendocino County.
The workshop will cover identifying and evaluating sediment sources, assessing environmental impacts, creating erosion control and prevention plans, designing and evaluating grading plans, and the environmental permitting application process.
