North Coast Water Conservation Workshop

Please join SRF, Sanctuary Forest, Cal Trout, Trout Unlimited, and Humboldt Steelhead Days for an exciting North Coast Water Conservation Workshop on Friday, January 13 at the Fortuna River Lodge to learn about community water conservation programs, water rights, greywater installation, and building resilience for salmon recovery.

Final Agenda and Registration for the SRF Conference to Open Soon

The 35th Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference will be March 29 - April 1, 2017 in Davis, CA.

The Final Agenda and registration information will be posted soon. We will announce this information by e-mail and on our Facebook page.

Field tours include Watershed Day at the Capitol, a Legislative Tour; Stanislaus River Rafting to Restoration Sites; Yolo Bypass and Putah Creek Restoration Projects; Fins, Feathers, Farms and Floodplain Fecundity: Multi-Use Floodplain Projects in the Lower Sacramento Valley; and American River Gravel Augmentation and Floodplain Restoration Sites.

Workshops will include What We've Learned About West Coast Floodplains: Lessons from the Landscape; Fish Passage: Tidewater to the Sierra and Back; and a State of Beaver Restoration in California workshop.

SRF Hiring Project Assistant
Applications Due Friday, December 16

SRF will be hiring a Project Assistant to join our team. The application deadline is Friday, December 16 but candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP. We hope to train for this position by the end of December.

2017 Award Nominations Open

Please submit 200 words or more to nominate candidates for the illustrious Restorationist of the Year Award, the Golden Pipe Award for Innovation, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the new Gordon Becker Memorial River Advocate Award.

The restoration community mourns the loss of our colleague and friend, Gordon Becker, who is memorialized in this beautiful tribute. The Gordon Becker Memorial River Advocate Award is for candidates who have been strong river advocates or stewards.

These awards will be presented at the 2017 Salmonid Restoration Conference. Nominations should be sent to srf@calsalmon.org by February 8, 2017. Please write "Award Nominations" in the subject line.
