2017 Conference Plenary Session Video Now Online
SRF had an exciting Plenary session with NASA Scientist Jay Famiglietti, Chair of the State Water Board, Felicia Marcus, and Director of the Center for Watershed Sciences, Jay Lund.

20th Annual Coho Confab August 24-26, 2017
SRF, in cooperation with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Mattole Restoration Council, Mattole Salmon Group, and Sanctuary Forest, will offer workshops and tours of off-channel slough restoration, forest and fuels reduction projects, water conservation practices, stream bank stabilization, large woody debris placement, and groundwater recharge projects. The Confab will specifically include a tour of Mattole estuary off-channel slough excavations, riparian restoration, and Heliwood procurement. Confab registration and the agenda will be posted in May.
2017 Salmon Restoration Federation Award Recipients
This year, SRF was excited to bestow the following awards:
- Golden Pipe award to Bill Trush
- Gordon Becker Memorial Award to Erik Young of Trout Unlimited
- Lifetime Achievement Award to Gail Seymour of CDFW
- Restorationist of the Year award to Chris Shutes of California Sportfishing Protection Alliance. Please see Chris’ inspiring speech, “What I Would Have Said…”.
FRGP Deadline Extended until May 4
The Fisheries Restoration Grant Program submission deadline has been extended to Thursday, May 4. Please see the announcements pertaining to the Proposal Solicitation Notice.
Take Action for AmeriCorps
The federal administration’s recently released budget proposes to cut national service programs, like AmeriCorps. This community service program is an integral part of the watershed restoration field. Please learn more and make a call / send an email to protect this invaluable program.
