The 37th Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference Agenda is now online. The Plenary session will be announced shortly. Registration is now open for the 2019 Conference. You can register online or with the conference registration form.

Featured 2019 Conference Workshop: Growing Impacts - Cannabis and Instream Flows
Through a combination of presentations and discussions, this workshop will explore the impacts of large-scale cannabis agriculture on rivers and streams, with a focus on hydrology. Specific topics will include: 1) quantifying the recent expansion of cannabis production, 2) hydrological and ecological effects of cannabis production, 3) diverse perspectives on California's system for regulating the environmental impacts of cannabis production, and 4) opportunities and challenges for improving farming practices.
Featured 2019 Conference Tour: Winter Habitat, Floodplains, and Fish Passage in Lagunitas Creek
This tour will visit four recently-implemented habitat enhancement projects implemented in Lagunitas Creek, to improve habitat for coho and steelhead. The projects include: two projects designed to reconnect Lagunitas Creek to its floodplain, for winter habitat enhancement; a large woody debris instream enhancement project in the Devils Gulch tributary; and a fish passage improvement project in the San Geronimo Creek tributary. The tour presenters will demonstrate design goals, implementation techniques, and effectiveness monitoring methods.
3rd Steelhead Summit Presentations Now Online
Presentations from the 3rd Steelhead Summit are now online and include exciting talks about conservation genetics, post-fire impacts to steelhead recovery, coastal monitoring and status reports, and flow enhancement planning.

SRF Conference Call for Awards
Please submit 200 words or more to nominate candidates for the illustrious Restorationist of the Year Award, the Golden Pipe Award for Innovation, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the new Gordon Becker Memorial River Advocate Award.
These awards will be presented at the 2019 Salmonid Restoration Conference. Nominations should be sent to srf@calsalmon.org by February 8, 2019. Please write "Award Nominations" in the subject line.

CDFW Program Manager Position Watershed Restoration Grants Branch
California Department of Fish and Wildlife is recruiting an Environmental Program Manager 1 to manage the Proposition 1 and 68 grant programs statewide. The position is also responsible for development of a monitoring program of the restoration projects. The position is located in Sacramento, California. NOAA Community-based Restoration Program Applications Due Jan 14
The principal objective of the NMFS Community-based Restoration Program Coastal and Marine Habitat Restoration solicitation is to support habitat restoration projects that use an ecosystem-based approach to foster species recovery and increase populations under NOAA’s jurisdiction. The pre-proposal deadline is January 14.

SRF Conference Mentor-Mentee Luncheon
SRF will be offering a Mentor-Mentee Luncheon at the Salmonid Restoration Conference. This special event is scheduled on Thursday, April 25 after the Plenary Session. Attendance is limited to 60 conference registrants. SRF will email enrollment information to all conference registrants.
