2020 SRF Conference First Call for Abstracts
SRF is happy to announce that the 38th Annual Conference will be held in Santa Cruz, California March 31-April 3, 2020. Please visit our website to see the First Call for Presentation Abstracts.
Please note that the agenda evolves and the Second Call for Abstracts may not include all of the initially described potential sessions, workshops, and tours. Brief session descriptions are now posted to the SRF website. Early submission helps SRF determine which sessions and workshops will be in the final agenda.
SRF’s Call for Abstracts is highly competitive and not all abstracts can be accepted. Presentations that have not been given before at our conference will have priority.
To submit an abstract, please review our submission guidelines. Please fill out this form, then email your abstract to abstracts@calsalmon.org. Receipt of your submission will be acknowledged by email and forwarded to the correct session chair.
Presenter abstracts are due by November 8, 2019.

CDFW Seeks Information Related to Listing of Northern California Summer Steelhead
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is seeking information relevant to the proposed listing of Northern California Summer Steelhead as an endangered species. CDFW is soliciting information from the public regarding Northern California Summer Steelhead ecology, genetics, life history, distribution, abundance, habitat, degree and immediacy of threats to reproduction or survival, adequacy of existing management measures, and recommendations for management of the species. Comments, data and other information can be submitted via e-mail to wildlifemgt@wildlife.ca.gov with “NC Summer Steelhead” in the subject heading. Please submit comments by Sept. 22, 2019.
The WCB Stream Flow Enhancement Program is now accepting applications through the 2019 Proposal Solicitation Notice. The Solicitation and application materials for this year are available on the WCB website. Applications are due on September 10, 2019.
The California Fish Passage Forum annual request for proposals is now open online. The deadline for submitting proposal applications is October 7, 2019. Preference will be given to proposals that address one or more fish passage barriers.
SRF has been conducting low flow monitoring in Redwood Creek in the South Fork Eel watershed since 2013. Check out our website to see project resources, the low flow trajectory, and regular updates about this ongoing project.
