2020 SRF Conference Final Call for Abstracts
Presenter Abstract Deadline Extended
SRF is happy to announce that the 38th Annual Conference will be held in Santa Cruz, California March 31-April 3, 2020. Please visit our website to see the Final Call for Presentation Abstracts. The deadline for submission has been extended to November 18, 2019.
Brief session descriptions are now posted to the SRF website. SRF’s Call for Abstracts is highly competitive and not all abstracts can be accepted. Presentations that have not been given before at our conference will have priority.
To submit an abstract, please review our submission guidelines. Please fill out this form, then email your abstract to abstracts@calsalmon.org. Receipt of your submission will be acknowledged by email and forwarded to the correct session chair.

2020 SRF Conference - Poster Session Now Open
Featured SRF Conference Workshop: Fish Passage Design Workshop and Field Tour
The 2020 SRF Conference will feature a two-day option called Fish Passage Design for Road Crossings Workshop and Field Tour, coordinated by Michael Love.
This two-day workshop will focus on fish passage design approaches and techniques for road-stream crossings and other low-head barriers. The course will be structured around Part XII – Fish Passage Design and Implementation - of the CDFW California Salmonid Stream Habitat Restoration Manual. The workshop is intended for participants with a variety of backgrounds, including engineers, biologist, geologist, planners, and project managers, and will have participants work on sample problems taken from real projects, including analysis of thalweg profiles, developing designs for a stream simulation culvert crossing, and sizing material for a roughened channel. The second half of Day 2 will include a field tour to a range of fish passage sites within Santa Cruz’s Corralitos Creek. Sites include full replacements and retrofits of stream crossings and a fish ladder, illustrating the various design approaches covered in the workshop and described in CDFW Part XII.

Six Rivers National Forest is hiring!
The Six Rivers National Forest is currently seeking a candidate for a permanent position at the Supervisor’s Office in Eureka, California as the Watershed/Fisheries Program Manager. Please submit their outreach response form by November 5, 2019.
DWR San Joaquin Program Deadline Extended

CDFW is now accepting applications for multi-benefit ecosystem restoration and protection projects under its Propositions 1 & 68 Grant Programs. The 2020 Proposal Solicitation Notice outlines the priorities and requirements to apply.
The Deadline for applications is November 20, 2019, by 4:00 pm PDT. Applications must be submitted via CDFW WebGrants.
Pacific Marine and Estuarine Fish Habitat Partnership
PMEP is seeking project proposals that benefit nursery habitats for PMEP focal species within smaller estuarine and nearshore waters along the West Coast. The deadline for project proposal submissions is Thursday, November 14, 2019.
