26th Coho Confab Registration Now Open
September 13-15, 2024, Rock Creek Ranch

SRF, with the support of California Department of Fish and Wildlife, will host the 26th Annual Coho Confab at the beautiful Rock Creek Ranch on the South Fork of the Smith River. The pristine Smith River is the largest undammed river in California and located in the northwest corner of the state in the Siskiyou Mountains. Field tours will include exciting projects in Mill Creek, Prairie Creek State Park, Lower Klamath, tributaries to the Smith, and underwater fish ID.

SRF Streamflow Monitoring Season Begins

SRF monitors streamflow for three different tributaries to the South Fork Eel River during the dry season. The low-flow monitoring helps inform our our streamflow enhancement planning efforts. Check out the Redwood Creek Flow Enhancement Implementation Plan. The 2024 monitoring season kicked off in May and will continue until SRF is able to capture the first flush in the fall. This will be SRF’s twelfth year monitoring streamflow in Redwood Creek, ninth year in Sproul Creek, and second year in Cahto Creek.  SRF established a new flow monitoring site that will be used to know when to augment streamflow in Redwood Creek since this will be the first season that the Marshall Ranch flow augmentation project will be utilized to augment Redwood Creek flows. Click here to learn more about the Marshall Ranch flow enhancement project. 2024 measurements for Redwood are available on the SRF website.
