We are excited to announce this year's Plenary session speaker line-up: Jay Famiglietti, Hydrologist, UC Irvine Professor, and NASA Senior Water Scientist; Jay Lund, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the UC Davis Center for Watershed Sciences; and Felicia Marcus, Chair of the State Water Resources Control Board.

Featured Workshop at the 2017 SRF Conference
The Fish Passage from Tidewater to the Sierra workshop is coordinated by Mike Love, Ross Taylor, and Mike Garello.
This day-long interactive course will address watershed-scale fish passage prioritization, geomorphic risk assessment for passage projects, and selecting the appropriate design approach for addressing stream crossing barriers as well as methods and challenges associated with restoring upstream and downstream passage over high-head dams in California and lessons learned from the Pacific Northwest.
Deadline Extended for Fisheries Restoration Grant Program
The grant deadline has been extended to Monday, April 3. This year’s Proposal Solicitation Notice is available on the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's (CDFW) website. There are important changes in the FRGP 2017 PSN. You will need to download the 2017 Solicitation as a reference document to assure compliance with CDFW proposal requirements.

NFWF Resiliency Grant Opportunity
Check out the newest NFWF and Wells Fargo Resiliency Grant Opportunity. For the Western Region, priorities include forest conservation, fuels management, habitat restoration, and conservation easements for healthy forest ecosystems.
The program places special emphasis on inclusion and helping traditionally underserved, low- and moderate-income communities build capacity for resiliency planning and investments in “greener” infrastructure.
