2025 Conference Plenary Session Announced & Agenda Packet Now Posted
The 42nd Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference will be held in Santa Cruz, California from April 29 - May 2, 2025. Conference registration is open and the Plenary Session, workshop, field tour, and concurrent session descriptions are posted online.

Please join SRF and cohorts for a fun film screening and book signing event at the Resource Center for Non-Violence. This event will include short sizzles of the Klamath Dam Removal film by filmmaker Shane Anderson, a book reading and signing with author and advocate, Jeff Miller, and some salmon-related Wild and Scenic shorts TBA.

Please submit 200 words or more to nominate candidates for the illustrious Restorationist of the Year Award, the Golden Pipe Award for Innovation, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Gordon Becker Memorial River Advocate Award. Please find descriptions of the awards here.
These awards will be presented at the 2025 Salmonid Restoration Conference Banquet. Nominations should be sent to lindsay@calsalmon.org by March 10, 2025. Please write "Award Nominations" in the subject line.
SRF Tribal Capacity and Climate Resilience Project Seeking Steering and TAC Members
SRF and California Indian Environmental Alliance (CIEA) are thrilled to announce that the California North Coast Tribal Capacity and Climate Resilience Project has been awarded through the NOAA Fisheries Office of Habitat Conservation Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. This three-year project will provide capacity building tools and climate resilience planning for North Coast tribes. We are currently seeking to create a Tribal Steering Committee and a Technical Advisory Committee in support of this project. SRF just held a Fish Passage Design and Engineering Field School with Instructors Mike Love and Ross Taylor in Santa Barbara, CA with the support of CDFW's Fisheries Restoration Grant Program. Here is a link to the presentations and resources shared at the field school. SRF has funding to produce another course on the Central Coast in 2026.

The short course is based at Sagehen Creek Field Station, which combines a beautiful natural setting with excellent research facilities, such as an outdoor classroom, a stream table to demonstrate channel adjustments, an on-site laboratory, and Sagehen Creek, with its rich history of research in fluvial geomorphology and ecology.
