North Coast Water Conservation Workshop, January 13
Please join SRF for an exciting North Coast Water Conservation Workshop on Friday, January 13 featuring keynote speaker Brock Dolman, and other exciting speakers from Sanctuary Forest, Trout Unlimited, and CalTrout. The workshop at the Fortuna River Lodge will coincide with the kick-off for Humboldt Steelhead Days. Listen to a recent KMUD interview with SRF's Executive Director, Dana Stolzman, to learn more about this workshop.
Advanced registration is $20 and will enable us to send attendees useful information and resources prior to the event. You can register online here. We will also be accepting registration at the door and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Featured Workshop at the 2017 SRF Conference
Evaluating Instream Habitat Variables and Watershed Conditions to Inform and Prioritize Salmonid Recovery Actions workshop coordinated by Tom Leroy and Danny Hagans of Pacific Watershed Associates.
This workshop will provide restorationists and land managers with information on tools and techniques to evaluate and improve watershed conditions for salmonids and other native fishes at a watershed scale.

2017 Award Nominations Open
Please submit 200 words or more to nominate candidates for the illustrious Restorationist of the Year Award, the Golden Pipe Award for Innovation, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the new Gordon Becker Memorial River Advocate Award.
The restoration community mourns the loss of our colleague and friend, Gordon Becker, who is memorialized in this beautiful tribute. The Gordon Becker Memorial River Advocate Award is for candidates who have been strong river advocates or stewards.
These awards will be presented at the 2017 Salmonid Restoration Conference. Nominations should be sent to srf@calsalmon.org by February 8, 2017. Please write "Award Nominations" in the subject line.

Humboldt Bay Tributaries Restoration & Spawning Tour
As part of Humboldt Steelhead Days, join local restoration partners on January 14 for a tour of the Freshwater Farms Reserve watershed and learn all about the ecology of our endangered native population of Coho salmon and steelhead.
TNC Hiring for McCloud River Preserve Associate Position
The Nature Conservancy will be hiring a seasonal (6 month) Associate for the McCloud River Preserve. This position would begin in May and run through October (some limited flexibility in timing), and would require that the person hired reside in housing at the preserve.
